Treetown is a Canadian live-action TV series that debuted in November 1997. It is about the home of the playful Treetownies. Tansy (portrayed by Kathleen LeRoux), Rosabelle (portrayed by Denise Oliver), and the Treetown toys invite viewers to play, sing, explore, and imagine with them. Treetown aired on Treehouse TV until February 27, 2011, and briefly in 2012. It was originally produced by Corus Entertainment.

The original live-action version of the series was originally aired in the afternoon until September 2005, where it was moved to the graveyard time slots along with shows like Crazy Quilt, Wee 3, Ants in Your Pants and The Bittles, to make room for shows like Toopy and Binoo, Pocoyo and Global Grover. These would continue to air until 2011.

The series is primarily aimed at youngsters aged 1 to 7.

Characters[]

Original Treetownies[]

Tansy[]

Main article: Tansy

Tansy is one of the main characters. She is portrayed by Kathleen LeRoux. She lives in Treetown with all the other treetownies, her residence takes place at the acorn house where she and her best friend Rosabelle share to live, she wears a flower on her head with a button that makes a boing sound, mostly only for when the segment ends for the next show to be up next, but there are times where she sometimes loses it.

Tansy loves doing a lot of many things in Treetown, she can paint pictures, has a marble collection where she can play with her marbles, making sandwiches, singing songs, visiting her friends at the other houses, planning parties, and playing with her sister Rosabelle because they love each other very much. She can sometimes be picky over the cookies when she should only take one at a time and the one she touched.

Tansy is the only one that doesn't have a second house in Treetown, unlike Rosabelle having her growing room as another house, the thing is that if she does own another house, then it would probably be one of the unknown houses that viewers don't visit.

Rosabelle[]

Main article: Rosabelle

Rosabelle is one of the main characters. She was portrayed by Denise Oliver. She lives in Treetown where her residence takes place at the same house where she and Tansy share to live, better known to be the acorn house. She has a button on her panties, but hardly ever uses it even for ending segments. She has 2 braided pigtails with a pink ribbon and a yellow ribbon, sometimes her pigtails can be seen longer, but mostly shorter.

Rosabelle has a lot of things she enjoys in Treetown, she jokes around with Tansy, she learns piano, pretends travelling, singing songs, planting seeds, visiting her growing room, and playing with Tansy, she's sometimes responsible for Tansy whenever she has trouble with things. Sometimes she loses one of her ribbons for her pigtails, like her yellow ribbon.

Rosabelle owns another house in Treetown, like her growing room, Tansy doesn't have any other houses except maybe one of the unknown houses that are unvisited.

Other main Treetownies[]
